Yana & Harry Schnitzler create and realize art concepts for vacant storefronts, corporate offices, and public spaces such as plazas and building lobbies.
For over thirty years, the couple has explored themes of human connection, cultural shaping, sustainability, and consumerism through site-specific and interactive works, movement-based installations, large-scale exhibits, and curated shows. Their work transforms spaces, inviting audiences to engage, reflect, and participate in unexpected ways.
Their projects have been presented across the US and Europe, including: Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC; One World Trade Center, NYC; Peabody Essex Museum, Salem, MA; The National Arts Club, NYC; Hamburg Art Week, Germany; Lake Como, Italy; Opéra Plage, Nice, France. Their work has appeared on three giant video walls in Times Square and received extensive international press coverage.
They have been supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, City of New York, New York State Council on the Arts, Bossak/Heilbron Charitable Foundation, German Consulate General New York, and Friends of Hudson River Park.
Corporate and institutional clients include BMW, Citibank, Coca-Cola, Amazon, Audi, Airport Munich, Kellogg’s, Jana Water, and UNICEF.
